India
India’s economy is not only the fifth largest in the world but one of the fastest growing – driven in no small part by manufacturing. The country is also the third-largest emitter of greenhouse gases on the planet and faces many environmental challenges and opportunities driven by rapid urbanization, electrification, and manufacturing growth.
Since 2014, ISC has been working in partnership with international brands and Indian suppliers to equip factories with best practices and tools to improve energy efficiency, the environment, health, and safety.
With ISC’s help, India’s local leaders are:
- Improving energy efficiency of factories to reduce emissions.
- Reducing industrial pollution.
- Making factories healthier and safer for workers.
- Strengthening factories’ understanding of and approach to water scarcity for improved supply chain and community resilience.
