Suresh Kumar Kotla

Suresh Kotla is a dynamic leader with over 20 years of experience in accelerating climate action, corporate sustainability, and net-zero policies. As Country Director for India, Suresh brings a wealth of expertise in building and scaling both non-profit and for-profit organizations focused on environmental sustainability.

Throughout his career, Suresh has demonstrated exceptional skills in strategy development, fundraising, and partnership building. He has successfully secured funding from various sources, including philanthropies, corporates, foundations, and bilateral organizations. His ability to forge strategic alliances has resulted in collaborations with leading civil society organizations, government agencies, and international institutions.

Suresh’s impressive track record includes designing and implementing numerous national, regional, and sub-national programs that have accelerated climate-positive action, industrial decarbonization, and energy transition initiatives. His expertise spans areas such as energy efficiency, air quality, urban sustainability, and green steel.

In his current role, Suresh provides strategic leadership for all operations in India, overseeing program execution, financial management, and stakeholder engagement. He represents the organization at national and international forums, continually expanding its impact and influence in the region.

Suresh holds a Master of Technology in Environmental Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani and has pursued additional studies in Public Policy Analysis at the London School of Economics & Political Science.

When not leading climate action initiatives, Suresh indulges his passion for music as a freelance singer and musician, bringing creativity and harmony to both his professional and personal life.
