ISC’s work on USAID’s Low Emissions Asian Development (LEAD) program encompassed work on a Green Growth strategy in
Thanh Hoa, Vietnam.

The regional United States Agency for International Development Low Emissions Asian Development (USAID LEAD) Program helps Asian governments, businesses, and institutions develop frameworks for sustained low-carbon development across all economic sectors. It was designed to build capacity in development and implementation of low emission development strategies, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, and carbon market development.

The Green Growth Strategy in Vietnam is a method to accelerate the process of economic restructuring towards the efficient use of natural resources,
reducing greenhouse gas emissions through research and application of modern technologies, developing infrastructure to improve the entire efficiency of the economy, coping with climate change, contributing to poverty reduction, and driving the economic growth in a sustainable manner.
