Violeta (Vie) Duncan is a Program Officer for ISC’s Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact and other ISC projects focused on regional climate solutions. Prior to ISC, Violeta worked for Urban Land Institute in Washington, DC, where she helped lead ULI’s parks and open space activities as part of the 10-Minute Walk Campaign. Violeta oversaw ULI’s parks and open space grants program, managed technical assistance services to support cities in reaching park access goals, and conducted research on public-private partnerships to support universal park access.
Prior to ULI, her experience ranges from a first-of-its-kind fund to create and preserve affordable housing along transit corridors while at Enterprise Community Partners, Denver to supporting the City of Rochester in catalyzing worker-owned cooperatives while with the Democracy Collaborative in Washington, DC and Cleveland, OH. Violeta is committed to building equitable and resilient communities, grounded by community engagement, democratic planning, and sustainable funding.
Vie holds a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, and a MS in Urban Planning from Columbia University.
