Senior Program Officer
Rashida Manuel is Senior Program Officer on the US Program team based in Cincinnati, OH. Rashida supports the Institute’s community-led resilience work, leading the Upper Texas Gulf Coast Regional Resilience Initiative (UTRI) and supporting the Kresge Foundation’s Climate Change Health and Equity (CCHE) program.
Over the last decade, Rashida has worked across multiple issue areas to develop and support programming and community engagement around race, gender, environment, and health. Prior to the Institute, Rashida worked as the Director of Public Engagement with Green Umbrella, Greater Cincinnati’s regional sustainability alliance, where she managed cross-sector sustainability initiatives, designed and executed peer learning opportunities, and facilitated the organization’s internal and external diversity, equity, and inclusion programming. She holds a BA in Journalism and MA in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies from the University of Cincinnati.
