Nicole Twohig (she/her) is the Acting Director of Communications and Marketing at ISC and leads strategic planning, implementation, and assessment of the organization’s global brand.
Nicole has 20 years of experience in mission-driven communications work with a foundation in behavior change marketing. She has worked with a number of nonprofit organizations, businesses, and state and federal funders to create strategic plans to elevate and communicate important information to varied audiences using integrated marketing mediums.
Nicole most recently worked at the University of Vermont’s Center on Behavior and Health, which focuses on substance abuse disorder, harm reduction, and smoking cessation research. Previously, she consulted in the areas of campus safety, Title IX, and the Clery Act after nearly 10 years at a socially-focused, boutique agency in Burlington, VT.
Nicole grew up in New Jersey and obtained her BA from Vassar College. She lives in Burlington, VT with her husband, two children – Marina (15) and Julien (11), and their two black labs.
