Mohamed Bah

Community Engagement Exchange Fellow

Mohamed Bah is a US-State fellow at the Community Engagement Exchange Program and an Entrepreneur from Sierra Leone, Africa. Mohamed joins the Institute to apply his youth and community development and environmental justice advocacy expertise to the international programs team.

Previously, Mohamed worked as a consultant at the Ministry of Water Resources and several other national and international nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in Sierra Leone. In 2018, he founded Information For All Sierra Leone, an environmental justice organization. He has attended leadership training and capacity-building programs in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, and the United States for the past five years.

In 2020, Mohamed received the Anzisha Prize, supported by the African Leadership Academy and the Mastercard Foundation in South Africa, as one of the best young African environmental entrepreneurs.

Mohamed received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Information Technology from the Njala University of Sierra Leone in 2016. He resides in Silver Spring, MD, for the duration of his fellowship with ISC.
