Program Officer – Communications and Knowledge Management
Jayashree Sridharan is Program Officer – Communications and Knowledge Management, for ISC in Mumbai, India. In the role assigned, she focuses on increasing the visibility and reach of ISC’s India-specific programs, while also building and maintaining an institutional knowledge repository.
Jayashree is a career communications professional with relevant work experience across spaces that include traditional media, development sector, consultancy and IT. Before joining ISC, Jayashree worked as the Corporate Communications Lead at the technology company, Persistent Systems – overseeing their external-facing marketing communications and PR outreach. Her previous body of work includes a stint as Lead Project Manager for the European Commission’s China IPR SME Helpdesk Project in Beijing, China, and immersive communications and project management work in the development sector for Amnesty International and grassroots organizations in India. She began her career as a desk editor for the Indian television media company – NDTV.
She is an award-winning alumna of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences where she completed her M.A. in Social Work. She also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the Asian College of Journalism, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Fergusson College, University of Pune.
