Hilary Wolkan

Individual Giving Manager

Hilary Wolkan is the Individual Giving Manager at the Institute for Sustainable Communities. Hilary cultivates relationships with individuals and stakeholders, helping to create a sustainable system of support that enables the Institute to advance equitable solutions to climate change across the globe.

Hilary’s passion for fundraising is rooted in forging meaningful relationships between like-minded individuals and organizations. She creates strong partnerships that are poised to build a better, more equitable world. Before joining the Institute for Sustainable Communities, Hilary worked for an organization that helps families in the U.S. experiencing homelessness. She also worked in non-profit development at an organization that enables grassroots leaders to advance gender equality and environmental sustainability in Latin America and Africa. Hilary received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Evansville in Archaeology and Art History, and a Master’s degree from Tufts University and the University of York in England in Classical Archaeology and Field Archaeology, respectively. Though she has since hung up her trowel, Hilary maintains a strong curiosity and respect for other cultures, as well as a deep desire to amplify the voices of others.
