Digital Communications Manager
Haley Lacuesta is the Digital Communications Manager at the Institute for Sustainable Communities. In her role, she executes the Institute’s digital communications strategy across all programs and manages web development, social media, graphic design, and event planning and promotion. Before joining the Institute, Haley worked at the American Chemistry Council (ACC) as a Coordinator for Plastics Sustainability. In addition to that role, she oversaw digital communications for two national outreach campaigns, the Wrap Recycling Action Program (WRAP) and the Advanced Recycling Alliance for Plastics (ARAP). Prior to ACC, Haley worked as a Legislative Assistant to the President of the Georgia Beverage Association at the state capitol during the 2020 legislative session.
Haley holds bachelor’s degrees in Public Relations and International Affairs from the University of Georgia (UGA). During her time there she also volunteered and worked at Extra Special People, Inc. (ESP), a nonprofit based in Watkinsville, GA, that provides resources to people of all abilities and their families. As a Marketing Communications Intern, she supported fundraising campaigns, event planning, and execution, wrote features and impact stories, and executed web development projects across multiple websites.
