Emily Hlavka is a Program Officer for ISC’s U.S. Program. In this role, she works to implement urban resilience and adaptation solutions regionally in Southeast Florida and on a neighborhood scale through the Partnership for Resilient Communities, an initiative designed to support community organizations developing climate resilience projects in U.S. cities.
Emily has experience in multi-stakeholder engagement, and in sustainable development that she brings to bear as she seeks to bring local government, community-based organizations, and residents together to find solutions that make communities stronger in the face of climate change.
Prior to joining ISC, Emily worked for The Chain Collaborative in Nicaragua supporting locally-driven solutions to sustainable development. Emily holds a B.A. in International Business from Adrian College in Michigan, and a M.A. in Sustainable Development from SIT Graduate Institute.
