Ananya Das is Program Officer – Clean Air Accelerator, supporting ISC’s EHS+ Center in India, focusing on the Clean Air Accelerator Program. In her role at ISC, Ananya works primarily with staff and other concerned stakeholders to target the direct link between industrial emissions and air pollution, while working on the upscaling of industrial clean technologies to improve air quality and public health.
Ananya worked with “Aerosol Toxicology” during her PhD focusing on the risk imposed to the lungs, on exposure to particulate matter and its physio-chemical constituents. Her research also emphasized on Health Risk Assessment (Mixture Toxicity), In-vitro toxicity, Epidemiological Studies, and Inputs to Public Policy Development. She has a number of publications to her credit. Prior to joining ISC, Ananya worked as an Implementation Coordinator and served the Bihar State Pollution Control Board and the Asian Development Research Institute in mitigating the issue of air pollution in the State of Bihar, in India.
Ananya holds a Doctorate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi; and an M.Tech. in Environmental Science & Technology from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur. She also acquired a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights from Indian Institute of Human Rights, New Delhi, and a Masters in Science in Biotechnology from the University of Burdwan, West Bengal.
