Amit Tandon is a Program Officer for the Women + Water Alliance project at ISC. In this role, he is responsible for developing the water platform for textile industries and the industrial and urban water portfolio for ISC.
Amit has 7 years of experience in the development and humanitarian sector with a focus on water, sanitation, shelter and disaster risk reduction in independent capacities as a consultant. Most recently he worked with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), India to prepare guidelines for the National Disaster Mitigation Fund. Amit has worked on multiple projects such as Green Building, Child Rights, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion, Disaster Management etc. He has contributed to the development of the humanitarian sector through research, policy advocacy, facilitation and coordination etc.
Amit is an Architect and holds a master’s degree in Water Policy and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He is a fellow (first cohort) from the School of Social Entrepreneurs India and holds a Diploma in Experiential Education and Practices from Experiential Leadership Institute, Pune. He is a member of ICOMOS- India and volunteers for the National Scientific Committee on Risk Preparedness and Working Group on Water-Heritage.
