EHS+ Center - Bangladesh
ISC established the first center of excellence in Bangladesh devoted to training industry professionals on health, safety, environmental and energy management: the EHS+ Center, a Dhaka-based public-private partnership between ISC and North South University. Focused on the Bangladeshi ready-made garment (RMG) industry, ISC and the EHS+ Center worked together to:
- Equip factory managers and workers with knowledge and skills that can save lives and protect natural resources and the environment.
- Design training programs to build the capacity of women in industry to improve their working and living conditions.
- Cultivate a vibrant and networked community of practicing professionals in the EHS/sustainability field.
